For as long as I can remember, dance has always been a part of my life. Family parties, weddings, and especially Christmas dancing were pretty much a required activity. Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Ballroom dancing, Break dancing, and freestyle are some styles that were not left undanced.
Ballroom and Latin really took my interest about 6 years ago when I joined a College Dance Club. Swing dancing was probably my major focus. Fast moves and ariel tricks were too much fun. Then salsa and cha cha came in 2nd and 3rd.
Then I was lucky enough to involve myself with a professional dance studio where I was taught everything from Swing and Tango, to Waltz, foxtrot, and so on and so on. And now, I am teaching, which is a whole now experience, an experience that continuously challenges me and keeps me healthy and happy. The benefits are endless.
