At the age of three, I had my first lessons in tap, ballet and jazz at The Dance Workshop in West Wichita. I also received ballet training at Rogers Ballet several years later. While at Rogers Ballet, I performed in skit
work for several dance concerts.
When I was eight, I began training in figure skating and later became an
accomplished ice dancer. This was the beginning of my training in partnering skills.
I became a student of
Stephen Bohling in 2005. After competing pro-am at the Heart of America Ballroom Dance Competition in
Kansas City, Ks in 2007; I formally started teaching professionally at Care To Dance? Ballroom and Latin
Dance Studio. Although I am qualified to teach all partnership styles such as Rhythm, Smooth, Swing, etc.,
I specialize in the American Smooth and International Standard dances. I am also one of the few Argentine Tango teachers in Kansas. I am also proficient in Wedding Dances for Couples First Dance, Father/Daughter
and Mother/Son dances.
In the past few years, I have performed in many shows and exhibitions sponsored by
Care to Dance including “Dancing With The Local Stars” and “ArtAid”. I have also danced pro-am with a
student in competition at the St. Louis Star Ball. Having come from a family of dancers, (Grandma, Mom and
my twin sister), I have always had a passion for dance and teaching and hope to be a part of the dance world
for many years to come.
